I just started a meet prep wave thanks to the suggestions of Spud and Dale of South Carolina Barbell.
It is a 6 week high volume squat cycle from Verkoshansky and I just finished week 1. It is brutal.
I set very conservative maxes on the back squat and box squat because I'm a huge pussy and don't want to re-rear the bicep.
Week 1 looked like this:
295x6x 4 sets
and a little assistance
Break in new Jack Bench shirt.
used a 3 board for doubles
then chest supported rows.
Tons of stretching and then next week it gets worse.
Tomorrow, me and my boy are going to see the Stanley Cup at American Nutrition Center in Everett with the legend Gerry Cheevers.
